TIP OF MY TONGUE

if a word is on the tip of your tongue, you want to say it but cannot remember it.

One of the characters in the book, his name was, wait a second, it's on the tip of my tongue.

BACK OF MY MIND

you intend to do it, but are not actively thinking about it

There are quite a few things that are in the back of my mind to do but recently I have just been focusing on studying for the IELTS exam.

PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY

you are able to remember things in exact detail

 

I know a couple of people who have a photographic memory and sometimes I wish I had the same as I am very forgetful.

JOG MY MEMORY

cause someone to remember something suddenly

 

I usually look at photographs of when I was at school to help me jog my memory of certain people and events.

 to remember correctly
