In order to get a higher band score on the speaking test it is recommended you use idioms in the correct context and form.

How to avoid using VERY repetitively in IELTS
In the IELTS speaking and writing sections you should try and use a variety of adjectives when describing something. Here are some examples of how to avoid using 'very'. Put them into practice in your study plan whilst writing and speaking.
